Dr. Adel Shirazy is an Iranian scientist, university professor, and holder of a postdoctoral degree in Mining Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. Born in Tehran, he is regarded as one of the country’s distinguished academic figures, having published several hundred scientific papers in reputable international journals and conferences, along with hundreds of authored works across various fields and multiple languages. Recognized among the top two percentile of researchers worldwide, Dr. Shirazy is known as the father of artificial intelligence in mineral exploration in Iran, due to his groundbreaking research applying AI to mineral exploration, work that has repeatedly drawn national media attention. Many of his scientific papers have been selected as top articles in respected global journals, and he has been awarded the title of Outstanding Doctor of the Country by the Iranian Society of Economic Geology. He is also recognized by the National Elite Foundation as one of Iran’s top scientific talents. Beyond his scientific accomplishments, Dr. Shirazy is an active figure in culture, arts, and media. As a poet and author, he has published dozens of refined poetry books representing modern Persian literature. He has also directed several short films and educational productions, further expanding his presence in the artistic sphere. Since 2017, he has served as director of SefrTaSad International Publishing, where he has played a significant role in promoting reading and writing among youth and has founded civic organizations such as the NGO Jehat, dedicated to youth development and cultural advancement. In sports, Dr. Shirazy is a national and international champion, a first-class coach and referee, and one of the notable experts in martial arts, having trained thousands of students across Iran. He serves as Vice President of I-K-Kempo in the Judo Federation and Vice President of Aikido Nasseri Dojo and Kempo in the Martial Arts Federation. His athletic prominence was further highlighted when he twice won the national Prodigy Competition hosted by Aparat, where he was voted the sporting prodigy of the nation in the public category. As an entrepreneur, Dr. Shirazy has founded several innovative companies and brands in mining, business management, and specialized services. His primary enterprise, STS Holding Co., stands as the origin of multiple well‑known brands and includes Pergas Mine Watch, the first specialized mining firm in Iran. His book Protection, Security, and Guarding has also been approved by the National Organization of Educational Testing as an official source for security recruitment examinations.
